When You See Me by Lisa Gardner
3.0
adventurous dark tense medium-paced
Plot or Character Driven: Plot
Strong character development: Complicated
Loveable characters: No
Diverse cast of characters: N/A
Flaws of characters a main focus: Yes

Overall, this was a medium-paced book with enough suspense to keep the pages turning. Where it fails, however, is in shallow character development and a plot that wound up a bit on the silly, overly outlandish side. Too many suspects, too many detours, not enough follow through. And the writing is a bit sloppy. There were at least two uses of the classic “she let out a breath she didn’t realize she was holding” line, so there’s a fair amount of cheesy diction to be had.
