Intense, gory, and remorseless, this first collection of three volumes seems to be more stage setting for a larger story (totaling 40 volumes), the background for which begins to emerge at the end of this entry. A very nice, hardbound edition with its own tassel for a bookmark--always a nice touch. I'm intrigued enough to keep going.
