One of the Girls by Lucy Clarke
3.0

One of the Girls is a suspenseful, character-driven drama, the story of a hen party weekend gone terribly awry. With the POV shared equally among the six different women on this Greek holiday, in which personalities clash and secrets are spilled, it's a compulsively readable story, though somewhat less of a typical thriller than it is a character drama. The occasional interludes of vaguely menacing foreshadowing (along the lines of "We were there for a party...we had no idea what was in store") are, frankly, a bit silly, and in fact lessened the sense of urgency and danger for me. But despite these, and an epilogue that wrapped things up far too tidily and abruptly for my taste, it's an entertaining read that I breezed my way through in a day.
