Flyte by Angie Sage

4.0

My friends John and Erin turned me onto these books and I'm still really enjoying them. I'm listening to the audiobook for Flyte and the narrator is fantastic. The story is becoming more entangled and intricate in this second installment, but retains the readability (listenability?) of the first. I'm ready to go put the third book on hold at the library!

Update: I often find that second books in a series are a bit slow, spending lots of time laying foundational material for the book(s) to follow. I'm happy to say that this was not at all the case with Flyte. Angie Sage may well have been laying foundations for what's to come, but it was done in a thoroughly engaging and exciting manner. This story flowed well and kept me engaged throughout. My three-year-old daughter also enjoyed listening to it. I'm very eager for Book 3 now.
