This book almost made me CRY! Dying and grief are not easy topics to discuss, let alone write about them in great depths, but I think Alison Cochrun did a fantastic job writing from both Logan and Rosemary’s perspectives.
I loved the humor in this book, and appreciated the growth th ats present in Logan and Rosemary along this cross country “death trip” as Joe called it. I do wish the growth was faster from Logan because it started to get annoying that she kept referring to herself as a fuckboy when clearly she has abandonment issues from her mom picking up and leaving to another state without her. but I understand that each person has their epiphany at different times in their lives and I was glad Logan still matured.
I also reallly loved that we get glimpses of Joe’s past, and I LOVE all the gay shenanigans these three get into!
Bonus points for the author for including black and brown characters without pretending to know what it’s like to be a person of color, and writing from their perspectives. More white authors need to follow her lead!
I hardly ever like romance books, but this book had me locked in and rooting for them. I look forward to reading other stories by Alison Cochrun, and I’d highly recommend this read.
