This book... I have many thoughts. I like the world and lore/religion; I like how there are many different types of religion based off one dude. The intro of this world, great. I loved Shawcroft's intro and how we got hints of what this world could be like.

The negatives:
1. the characters are sooo dumb. they do no make one smart choice throughout this entire book. The good guys never out smart the bad guys, and the bad guys don't do anything smart either they are just smarter than the good guys.
2. the representation is awful. The only rep is the annoying fat girl who only thinks about food and the gay couple is the evil king. Like no thanks. And anytime anyone is suspect of being queer they are met with negative reactions.
3. The SA toward women, the way women are all in love triangles/sexualized, are all "the most beautiful in the world". This does not need to be. It was just all handled so poorly.
4. the plot was stalled in the middle of this chunky book and never really picked back up.
