The Misadventures of Awkward Black Girl by Issa Rae
3.0
I love Issa. This book was boring though. Sometimes, my interest was piqued, most it wasn’t. I just felt like we kept jumping back and forth between her childhood and her adulthood.
The book ended weird… apart of me wants to give this book 2 stars, but the laughs and being able to relate to Issa, being an awkward black girl myself, kept my interest at certain points.
Otherwise, I wouldn’t read it again. I’ll just stick to my “misadventures of awkward black girl” on YouTube.
