A Sea of Unspoken Things
by Adrienne Young
This is my 6th AY and the two most recent ones I absolutely adored. I was really excited for this one and blew through it- it was only 277 pages?
“Everything was so…alive, making it feel impossible that anything could ever die here. But maybe, in a way, nothing did.”
Right away, there was an eerie ness to it. AY’s signature
descriptive writing style is similarly ghostly- with a twin peaks intentionally hazy vibe where I couldn’t quite figure out what was going on until the last page!
“The gorge was like an unraveling seam in the universe, a portal to a new realm where nothing else existed.”
4.5 stars- read this one in the woods!
