Leviathan Falls by James S. A. Corey

Man.

A year and a half ago, I got back into reading for the first time in many many years and decided, like a fool, to read a 9 book, 5000+ page series.

This series holds a special place in my heart now as not just a truly incredible series that I love, but also the series that has turned me into a reader.

I was worried they wouldn’t stick the landing, but after 8 insanely consistently incredible books, they nailed it. I’m a mess and I am heartbroken but man, they got it so right. I’ve been completely unable to rank these books as each one is just so perfect in its own way, but this one particularly was so dang good.

These characters are just fantastic, even when they cause me heartbreak, maybe especially when they cause me heartbreak. The story grows and grows (expands?? eh? eh?) into something you couldn’t imagine. What a damn journey.

I love this book. I love this series. And I don’t know what’s next. But I’m a reader now.
