*Read the trigger warnings*
There were many times where I almost gave up on this book. The first half drags and as a whole the plot is predictable.
I found the second half more engaging than the first but also equally as predictable as the first half.
She writes a good psychological thriller but the comparisons to Girl on the Train end there. To say they are on the same level is inaccurate as this book did not grip me in the same way.
I found Jenna's character and point of view to be very well written and it is why I have scored the book higher than I first thought I would. The way Bethan and Patrick stick by her gives you hope that even when you are at your lowest people will still fight in your corner.
