Aspects of Meditation Book 1: The Body, the First Step by Osho
informative
reflective
relaxing
fast-paced
3.5
I've been reading a lot of books on meditation and Buddhism but this was the first where I only sort of agreed with the message.
This is actually a book of a talk given and it reads as such. But it's not the first book like this I've read. However, the speaker kept insisting that his way is the only way and will absolutely work for everyone. Which simply isn't true.
I also found this one labeling things as good vs bad a lot. Especially in regards to natural human behaviors. It hits a little too close to christian morals for me.
I did like some things like the part about turning emotional energy into creativity. I think it was a good way of conceptualizing releasing emotions.
