The Dragons of Nova by Elise Kova

3.5

I loved this so much, but I was also so bored. The storyline is fantastic. I’m absolutely enthralled by this world and the characters and the story that the author is weaving through them. However, I am consistently bored when I have to read chapters by anyone other than Arianna or Cvareh. Florence’s chapters were important to the story, and they were sometimes interesting, but they just dragged for me. The Dono’s chapters were so dumb and honestly the man seems like an idiot, but yet he is also smart, I don’t really know it doesn’t make sense. Also, I feel like Arianna‘s character just switches personalities at the drop of a hat which could get kind of annoying. Cvareh is literally the cutest, I freaking love him with my whole being. It made me so mad every time Arianna was a jerk to him. I feel like me and this book were kind of a love-hate sort of thing, it took me four days to read it as compared to me reading the first book in one day. Four days is a long time for me to be reading the same book as I usually read much faster than that. All that being said, I really did like this bookat a base level, the first book was amazing, and I do want to know what happens next. I might just have to take a break and read something else though before I read the last book.
