They Called Me a Lioness: A Palestinian Girl's Fight for Freedom by Dena Takruri, Ahed Tamimi

5.0

This was such a powerful, informative read that was also just an incredibly written book. A massive kudos to Ahed Tamimi for the courage and strength that she’s shown on behalf of her family, friends, and her homeland — although she should have never had to fight like she has. And a massive kudos to Dena Takruri for getting Ahed’s story out. I am a changed person for having read this, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a first-hand account of someone who grew up in occupied Palestine.
