My hope is not only that everyone will read this incredible book, but that this book becomes a (book and documentary) series and/or film. Such a robust experience. I couldn’t wait to pick the book up each time I returned to reading it. So many gems…so, so many interesting details…even a connection between Malcolm X’s parents and my hometown, Montréal! Also, so many heart-wrenching, grief-evoking moments. Still, a lens focusing less on the evil that exists in the world, more on the complex beauty of purpose-filled leadership, connection, and love. I’ll read this again…and again.
