One Piece, Vol. 6: The Oath by Eiichiro Oda

adventurous emotional funny fast-paced

5.0

  • Volume 6 takes us right into the clash between the Krieg Pirates and the cooks of the Baratie! That's something that Live Action Show changed (the Krieg Pirates only had a very small role), so I was excited to see a different conflict and Krieg as a character more! We get the first glimpse of the Grand Line being a very dangerous place, even though that doesn't deter Luffy in the slightest! Plus, we still got the iconic duel between Zoro and Mihawk, so there was action all around!
  • Luffy being forced to become the chore boy and being absolutely bad at it was so funny, he literally brings chaos everywhere he goes 😂 The comedic moments nicely break up some of the action!
  • Nami's betrayal
also played out differently here and I have to admit that Zoro's bounty hunter friends grew on me!
