Emotional fucking damage. I thought “In The Likely Event” was damaging…but this…this was heart wrenching devastation. Like full blown, ugly sobbing kind of devastation.
If you have kids. Don’t read this book. I mean, the story is incredible and absolutely a 5 star read but it’s every parents worst nightmare. I knew something catastrophic was going to happen, it’s Rebecca after all… but I was not expecting THAT.
It does have a happy ending, thank God for that. But it’s going to take me a long while to recover from this one.
