Red River Seven by A.J. Ryan

Did not finish book.
I would not have picked this book up in a shop. I only gave it a go because the point of book clubs is to try and broaden your horizons, but this book is too terrible to persevere with.

It's a difficult premise and one the writer was brave to have a go at. But if you're going to go into a book without being able to built character properly or provide any background you have to do it well. The writing in this book is as subtle as a sledgehammer. I felt I was being bludgeoned to death by hackneyed, predictable, uninspired sentences. Nope.
