Sea Sick by Iain Rob Wright
2.5
dark mysterious tense medium-paced

British police officer Jack Wardsley, on a forced leave of absence, is ordered to take a vacation. On his second day at sea on a Mediterranean cruise, he notices a disproportionate number of his fellow passengers seem to be suffering from colds. By dinnertime, the virus has turned them violent, and they tear Jack and the rest of the guests apart. Jack wakes up without a scratch and a strange case of deja vu, and starts reliving the day of the outbreak over and over again.

A zombie outbreak on a cruise ship, mixed with Groundhog Day - what a cool hybrid idea. It has its moments, mostly when describing the zombie carnage. Unfortunately, the repetition of the gimmick wore thin pretty quickly for me, and I found the protagonist extremely dull. It's a short read, so maybe worth checking out if you really like zombie stories. It's actually the first of a trilogy, but I don't think I'll check out the rest.
