This book was cute. I did like the characters a lot, although I did struggle with empathizing with Mickey. I understand depression influences everyone regardless of face, gender, class background and I think having this book not be from his pov would have been better. I also had a hard time imagining Mickey in my head because his descriptors and his voice felt like two different people. Feel like there are good bones here but would have liked to seen this story go in a different direction. The cliffhanger at the end was fine, I didn’t feel invested enough to feel upset or shocked by it.
