None of This Is True by Lisa Jewell

5.0

It’s been a *minute* since I’ve rated a thriller five stars. I think this is an excellently constructed story that hooked me from the start and kept my heart racing as it jumped from twist to twist. I appreciated the complexity of the characters — I think this is something that thriller writers often struggle with, and the character development kept me invested throughout this wild ride.

I think unreliable narrators have become a trope in recent years, but Lisa Jewell executed it well here. I felt myself really needing to know what happened (the best thriller feeling!) — I finished this in two sittings. All in all, a well-written and well-conceptualized thriller that kept me engrossed until the very end!
