What. A. Mind. F*€k.
This has to be one of the wildest and most unique duets I’ve ever read…

The suspense that builds from the first book all the way until the very last page of this one is just incredible. Every time I thought I sort of knew what was going on, why someone was doing something, who was doing what, or what was going to happen next things would do a 180 and go in the opposite direction than I expected. But it was never obvious that things were fixing to get turned around so it was even more entertaining to be caught by surprise.

As for the characters - Luna is one of those women that seems sweet on the outside but there is a fierce need to protect and avenge those she cares about. I definitely wouldn’t want to get on her bad side. Dutch is calculating, smart, charming, and can even be a tad manipulative if he needs to be. I loved being inside his head as he worked through all of the possibilities regarding the situation they are in.

There is a little more spice than the first book but some of it is a little… out there? 🫣😅 I don’t really want to say much else about it for a few reasons lol. What I will say is that it takes some time for (the majority of) the spice to really kick into gear and when it does you get a good bit of it. It’s nice and steamy, nothing super wild but good nonetheless.

The ending though? Whoa - the ending was the best part of the whole book! I’m still feeling some type of way about it because it had my heart frozen in fear for a good bit lol but man it was SO good!! Monica really couldn’t have chosen a better way to end this duet.

If you’re looking for a romance that’s a little different from the rest and will have you so engrossed that you fly through it in a matter of hours then you should definitely give this one a chance.

**Always check the TW before reading as this is a dark romance and there will be potential triggers.**
