this was super sweet and sad and i can completely understand why so many people love it !! but i just think i’ve grown out of this type of YA because it just felt too young for me and i found myself cringing a lot at scenes i would have once cried over. our main characters were sweet but they felt way too perfect whilst also trying to be unique and i just didn’t end up caring for either of them that much :((
i found it super predictable so i kept waiting for a plot twist to happen and surprise me but it never happened and so i was just kind of reading to finish it and not really wondering where the story would go because it felt pretty obvious.
i wish i had read this when it had first come out because i think i would have really enjoyed it a lot more at a younger age but it unfortunately just felt lacking for me !!!
update march 26th: i’ve lowered my rating to 2 stars bc this book put me in a reading slump that’s lasted 5 weeks ;-;
