I cannot stress how much I enjoyed spending quiet time in Amdarh and the hall. The Shadow court interactions were a huge part of what I liked in [b:Heir to the Shadows|363785|Heir to the Shadows (The Black Jewels, #2)|Anne Bishop|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1432415008l/363785._SX50_.jpg|2510727] and I liked how it was done here.

I also really liked this development for what success means, what the Queen's Price is and how not everyone is suited for every location or family.
