Bright's Passage by Josh Ritter
3.0

I love Josh Ritter's songwriting, but was a little worried that his first novel would be terrible. No need to fear -- Ritter wrote a darkly funny tale of a young man just back to Appalachia from World War I and the angel who guides him. Sounds terrible, right? But Ritter creates compelling characters who move through this bizarro world believably. A quick and fairly entertaining read.
