The Knocked up Plan by Lauren Blakely
4.0
Nicole wants a baby. Ryder doesn’t want love. What could go wrong?
What I Loved:
- Nicole’s confidence: She knows what she wants and goes for it without playing games. Love her boldness!
- Ryder’s sweet side: For a guy with a broken heart, he’s surprisingly thoughtful and kind. Total swoon material.
- The chemistry: Sparks fly between them, and the "baby-making" part adds heat and humor.
- Low drama, high fun: Sometimes you just need a light, feel-good read with a happy ending.
- The dual POV: Seeing both perspectives made their feelings and growth super relatable.
Favorite Moments:
- Nicole’s straight-up request to Ryder—like, who asks their coworker that?! Bold move, girl.
- Ryder’s unexpected vulnerability when he starts falling for Nicole.
- Their hilarious banter during their "dates."
Why It’s Not 5 Stars:
The beginning felt a bit shaky, and those cringey “baby batter” jokes almost made me put the book down. But once the story found its groove, it was smooth sailing.
Final Thoughts:
This book is sweet, sexy, and so much fun. If you love rom-coms with heart and a little heat, you’ll enjoy The Knocked Up Plan. Lauren Blakely does it again—making me laugh, swoon, and wish I had my own Ryder.
