The Versions of Us
by Laura Barnett
I'd give this one a solid 3.5
This book follows two characters - Jim and Eva - over three different versions of their life. I really loved the concept but the execution was a bit weak. Not only does the story jump around between versions (spending maybe five pages on each version at a time), it also jumps between Eva's and Jim's POV and really jumps time periods (like 5+ years a time). I would've preferred to have just followed one character or read one whole version followed by the second whole version, etc. As it was, it was a bit hard to keep track of who did what in each version.
Despite that, it was an enjoyable enough read.
