Tread of Angels by Rebecca Roanhorse

4.0

So ridiculously satisfying. I found the story to have a distinctive Western vibe but could also agree with those who found it Victorian in flavor. Roanhorse has created a superb mashup of both, thrown in lots of religious allegory, a bit of crime drama, romance, and family trauma. Particularly satisfying if you are missing the Bad Boy trope. I listened to this read by the sultry Dion Graham and… well, wow….
