Dark, gritty, and full of dry humour.
Xavier has been kidnapped and held captive for a year, before he is given the 'choice' to become a vampire.
His relationship with his captor, Marcus is twisted and broken, and Stockholm-y. They are trying to make it work, with Claudius as the buffer between this distructive and abusive pair.
I loved the wit in this story. It turned it into more than just another vampire story.
The world building was good. The characters were all well rounded, and there were plenty of fun surprises.
I look forward to reading the next one.
Recommended for those who enjoy twisted, with a side of funny, and plenty of sexy.
