i didn't Dislike reading it but i didn't enjoy the story as much as i've enjoyed all the other books from this series. i like that there's some new addition with Actual magic stuff, since that hasn't really been in any of the books and i did enjoy the new angle but in my opinion there was little to no backstory for this book, neither will nor maddy really developed in the book (except of course that they started to believe in the supernatural). i did like maddy's characterization, she had some strong lines, but also strange moments. the thing i like about this series is that everything's connected, but the connection between this book and the others felt weaker imo, even though it included many references.
but in the end they could never make me hate you !
