This book quickly became one of my favorite books of all times. The main characters are well-written and realistic in their flaws. I really enjoyed the major plot reveals towards the end of the book and it was all set up well. Lin and Conor were my favorites in the first book (tho less so Conor because of what a playboy and overall ass he was) and continued to be my favorites in this book as well. Conor is a wonderfully complicated character and I can appreciate that Cassandra didnt write him to be unfailingly good and perfect like other male love interests in fantasy. Lin is my absolute favorite and I love a good character type in which one is presented with great power but finds themselves uninterested in using it for the most part. She's probably the closest character to being lawful good, but in an endearing and genuine way that makes me love her all the more. I can't wait for the third book.
