What to say about the 3rd book in the Blood and Ash series The Crown of Gilded Bones?

I am loving this series. I wanted to read another series that gave me the same feels as A Court If Thorns and Roses and this is it.  Yes, I am aware that this series as well as SJM various series are not “new”, but they are all new to me. While I wait for the next Crescent City book to drop and I am up to date with all the others, I needed to find another one that I enjoyed just as much. This fit the bill.

The first few chapters I was getting extremely upset because of tragic things happening and all I kept thinking was if they were killed, I was going to toss it across the room!
Irrational reaction to a fantasy story? Perhaps, but when you are internally cheering for characters you adored and they are suddenly in grave danger?  I think I can throw a tantrum in the privacy of my own home. Possibly shed a few tears.  But fret not, the story continued with more mystery, adventure, and magic.

The main characters are deeply and fiercely in love and constantly in awe of each other’s strengths.  The bonds they have with one another and their closest friends (one could say chosen family) are absolute.

The heart doesn’t care how long you may have with someone, it just cares that you have the person as long as you can.

I predict that my reading stats for 2024 are going to be heavy with this author. I’m not mad about that.
