The Eve Illusion by Giovanna Fletcher, Tom Fletcher

5.0

Boy was this book a lot darker than the first one. But I'm definitely glad I did a re-read of Eve of Man as there was so much to remember after such a long gap between releases - much of which is really important to the plot of this second part. Sometimes I feel like there is a dip in the middle of the trilogy but I didn't feel that with The Eve Illusion - which is testament to the great work of the authors Giovanna and Tom Fletcher.

Picking up straight after Eve of Man the fast pace of the story continues. The addition of a third POV really helped with that I thought adding an interesting twist I wasn't expecting from the top of the book! While some of the plot I saw coming the ending (whilst a cliffhanger) was still satisfying and did leave a lot of interesting (and important) questions which came after a good amount of reveals to make this book feel like it was a story worth reading in its own right rather than just needing to get through for the climax of the narrative arc.

Cannot wait for the final installment to see where it will all end up. I need some serious questions answered!
