I "read" this book for my junior American Lit class in high school, and it was the first book I EVER actually just spark noted. I was extremely exciting for this book, I went out and bought it when I heard we were reading it, and I was pumped cause I thought it was gonna be like the movie "Easy A" just more like... 1800s. I read the first 100 pages or so but then.... it was just incredibly boring, and just, all around disappointing.
It was also the first book that not a single soul in an entire 25 person class actually read... thank goodness for spark notes.
