I really enjoyed this memoir. Jada was transparent and truthful to me about her journey as a free black woman, which caused so much vitriol and hatred toward her. She took accountability for all her faults and went on a spiritual journey to really heal and move forward. My favorite part of the book was the beginning when she talked about her heritage and her family roots in detail. Family is the center of this book and I admired how she showed a spotlight to it. The red boxes self/reflection pages were great as well. Overall, great memoir and I highly recommend it. enjoy the snippet of my playlist. Thank you, @cocoachapters @deystreet for letting me be apart of this tour.
