Years ago, Hallie survived a serial killer and the man who rescued her turns out to be none other than her new boss, Lawson Hartley. Lawson has been drowning in his work as the chief of police, and with 3 boys who are in different stages of growing up, he needed help fast. When Hallie’s past starts to come back into the picture, Lawson gets buried in even more work. He can’t seem to stay away from Hallie, and due to the case, he’s extremely overprotective of her. The killer is revealed as someone the town has loved for a while now, and as Halie recovers from her ordeal, she finds her happily ever after in Lawson and his boys.
I gave this book 5 ⭐️’s.
I am so incredibly sad this series has come to an end. I loved the entire series, and what stood out most about this one was the unconditional love shown. Hallie steps in as the nanny and never once thought about the boys as anything other than her boys. She protects them and helps them from the jump. Even going toe to toe with Lawson to protect Luke from a dad’s wrath. And they were so funny with their banter and attitudes! I’m glad Lawson finally gave in to Hallie because they both deserved to be happy. I was also shocked that *spoiler* Damien ^*spoiler* was the killer!!! That blindsided me. Glad he gots his, though. Really enjoyed this story and series, will definitely recommend to others!
