Lush, cinematic, and lovely while also being surprisingly fast paced. I enjoyed Iris as our FMC who is driven but also struggling under the weight of everything. I liked Kitt as the MMC his transformation from prat to a genuinely good human was very endearing. Also both had very clear motivations and goals and it always felt easy to relate to them and their decisions. The world building was (for me) phenomenal and just a joy to read.
I love, above all else, epistolary romances so here we are at one of my favorite things in the world.
Still, it was a lot of beautiful writing that I felt like could overshadow the actual plot and at times I felt like things moved maybe too fast to let the emotions of the situation to sink in
