After her best friend’s death, an unusual inheritance-and some Divine intervention- lead Ana to re-evaluate her life.

I knew the magic aspect could be a problem for me, but many reviews said it wasn’t too intrusive. (The “magic” is clearly of the angelic kind.) Still, this one didn’t work for me. The characters were very inconsistent. Is Ana an uptight, anxious control-freak? Or a wild woman who jumps onto the back of her boyfriend’s motorcycle (which she never actually does in the book - she just says that’s what she’s usually done). Is Noah a man or a mouse? (I understand that he’s dealing with trauma, but the difference between the two versions of Noah - and how quickly he switches between the two - doesn’t ring true.) How many slips of the tongue can Malachi and Jess get away with? Can anybody really believe that neither Noah nor Ana figured out the big secret regarding the postcards?

I wanted to like this one, but the more I read, the more disappointed I became.
