Karamo: My Story of Embracing Purpose, Healing, and Hope
by Karamo Brown
I’ll be honest. This book didn’t make me like Karamo more like I thought it would. A lot of what he talked about was hard, and I appreciate his openness. He hasn’t handled everything perfectly, and a lot of events in his life and the way he dealt with them didn’t sit well with me at all. But I’m not here to judge his story and his life - it’s his and no one else’s and I can’t knock him for how he’s lived it. As a book, it was well-written. There were some timeline things and the way he organized his thoughts that I didn’t love, but it didn’t hinder the story telling.
Overall, a fine read. Definitely makes you think about how maybe you’d handle some of the situations he’s been in.
