The Silmarillion: Illustrated by the Author by J.R.R. Tolkien

This was a little rough at times but I’d just tell myself “if you could read the entire Old Testament then you can read this.” Much like the Old Testament, it would pop off and be extremely entertaining and then would go on to lose me for a chapter or two.
