krugo 's review for:
Anna Karenina
by Leo Tolstoy
I don't think I've ever been less thrilled while reading a novel. The in-depth analyses of the casts' psyches were interesting, but none of the characters were particularly compelling, and the long digressions detailing Levin's work in the fields seemed out-of-place and were certainly not a welcome addition to the read. I perhaps simply don't understand this novel's "genius", but I certainly an't recommend it.
