One for the Blackbird, One for the Crow by Olivia Hawker

4.0

In an unexpected turn of events, two families who have reasons to dislike each other have to instead rely on each other to get through the long winter of 1870. We hear the perspective of Nettie Mae & Cora, the mothers of the two families, and their oldest children, Clyde & Beulah. Beulah is a special girl with a deep connection to the land - something that Clyde is drawn to but Nettie Mae sees as weakness.⁣

This book is long and I think I could've gotten bored reading it, but I found it lovely on audio. It is a slow and steady roll though, so if you prefer more action, it's probably not for you.
