Mr. Monk and The Two Assistants by Lee Goldberg

3.0

I'd recommend the book to anyone who enjoys the show and is looking for a book version.

The author has been a writer for the show, so the adaptation to book is pretty seemless. Like the show, you know or can easily guess who the murderer is, but the story is more about the unraveling of "here is how he did it" by the obssesive compulsive detective. Bringing back the old assistant Sheronna who abruptly left the show was also a nice tie-in.

If you are not a regular watcher of the show, I don't think that the book stands as well on its own.
