I was really looking forward to reading this book because it's kind of taboo, wanting your sister's ex-boyfriend and crossing that line that you shouldn't to be with him so I was excited to see how the author would do with it but I have to say I was disappointed.
The story felt contrived, I felt like I saw all the strings in the background being pulled to get the story to where the author wanted it be, hopefully that makes sense. This as well as the contradictory nature of the characters pulled me out of the story and took away from my overall enjoyment of it. I know first person narrators are are unreliable but their contradictions were just too much they would say one thing and then act or do another thing later on.
Despite that there were parts I really enjoyed and chuckled over, Finn's "I don't like you living with a penis" speech was one of them. My favorite sex scene took place at Finn's parents house. *fans self* Overall it was an enjoyable read.
