I didn't know what to expect when I picked up this book. History can be presented in such a dry manner. Not this time! Even though I knew what was going to happen, there was an intensity and a feeling of adrenaline rush the whole time I was reading it, and this strange sense of hoping for a different outcome, even though it is impossible. And there is so much more to the story than the few facts we're taught in school. If history were presented like this -- brought to life in such a way that you can relate to the emotions at play as much as the facts and get a feel for the real people -- I would have paid far better attention when I was in my various history classes! I can't wait to check out "Killing Kennedy" now, based on how much this one sucked me right in from page one.
