It’s been a long time since I have taken screenshots of entire pages and sent them to my Italian friends. And taken screenshots of a book and highlighted passages to remind myself of… myself. This book hit me so deeply about what it means to be Italian, an Italian daughter, and the expectations of being an Italian daughter in an Italian community. 
Also, the acknowledgements may make you cry! Just a great book.
