Sweet Talk by S.L. Scott

I loved how the narration went with this story. Voice actors Ms. Stewart and Mr. Rolon went back and forth in the telling of this story which gives the feeling that they were talking to each other - like we might be eavesdropping in on their conversations. Mr. Rolon had me falling in love with a secondary character named Vinny. He did such a good job with him that I looked forward to those scenes. Ms. Stewart did an equally good job with the female characters especially with Reese. There were times that she had me feeling sorry for her.

This is a story that gives you an idea of the world of the male model. You think the female model's world is tough. It's the same for the men in the industry. There are times where things can be misunderstood because of what we see at a certain point in time. How do you get past something like that? Because pictures don't lie, right? How can a relationship survive when your special someone is always leaving?

This is the time of year, here in New England, where yard cleanup is a must. What better way to make the time more "enjoyable" than to listen to a book. I was lucky enough to do that with this one. At times my neighbors must have thought I was crazy. I would react and talk to something that was being said between Reese and Danny. Then Vinny would have me laughing. When Reese's boss shows up, I want to either kick him in the shin or put him in one of my leaf bags that I was filling.

I can certainly see myself listening to this book more than once. And that's whether I'm doing yard work or not. It made an arduous task go by quickly and it made me laugh. It also had me concentrating on the story and stop thinking about some other things that could bring me down.

There's another secondary character named Luke that actually has his own story. Check out his story in "Dirty Talk". I actually listened to that one first but I held off on writing my review. I'm glad I did because after listening to this book it has me wanting to see if I look at Luke's story a little differently. I hope you enjoy Reese and Danny's story as much as I did.

I voluntarily reviewed an Audiobook copy of this book.
