Waypoints: My Scottish Journey
by Sam Heughan
I'd happily listen to Sam read a phonebook and this memoir was no exception! Great on audio read by the author, including some recordings from actual hiking adventures (windy and bad audio and all). I did really enjoy learning more about his journey to becoming Jamie Fraser (lots of ups and downs career wise, struggles with body image and learning to stick with it). Sam recounts some of the most difficult times of his life, particularly losing his father and reconnecting with his brother. My one complaint was that the book felt a little frantic and all over the place. I didn't find the narrative flowed very well at all. That said I still liked it and would recommend to fans of the Outlander series or any of Sam's other endeavors.
