Chocolate Chip Cookie Murder by Joanne Fluke
2.0
This is a cute little mystery book. I wasn't sure what I was expecting when I started reading it. I picked it because I love to bake and I love mysteries. This is not on the same level of James Patterson or John Grisham so if that's what you're looking for it is not for you. I liked the characters they weren't really complex and even though there were twist in the story line I didn't find them very dramatic to where I was surprised.
The recipes that were added were very distracting to me because of their location. I think she should have saved them for the back of the book. I did like the fact that the character explained why she baked them or who she baked them for.
The book was cute but I wasn't extremely vested in the story or characters when it was over. It was a nice change of pace from the books I had been reading and I have the others but I wasn't hard pressed to immediately move on to the next book in the series.
