The Reason I Jump: The Inner Voice of a Thirteen-Year-Old Boy with Autism by Naoki Higashida

dark emotional funny hopeful inspiring reflective fast-paced

4.0

As a person with autism, this was such a lovely book to read. It really felt like I was reading a reflection of myself and helped me articulate things about myself and my condition that I had always struggled to identify. Naoki's unique perspective and the introduction was a very welcomed presence that made me really hopeful about the future for autistic people.
