What. A. Romance! I don’t know if I should be typing this review under all the emotions this book has triggered but I will try.

The plot of this book is a pregnancy trope but done in an amazing, gripping, tears-triggering way and love! Oh, this book is just overflowing with love between the main characters but also the family members around them, who are a perfect example that it really takes a village to raise a child. Reading about the relationships between Wilder family, being able to feel it through the pages of the book, filled me with so much happiness and longing for a family like that.

The romance between Kane and Mari, our main characters was absolutely beautifully developed! It’s definitely not a slow burn, but the author took the time to let the romance progress naturally. The characters had time to deal with the sudden change in their lives and their own life problems as they learned to grow together and create a loving family for the baby they were bringing to the world.

Kane was an angel of a man, I swear! If my boyfriend is not as caring and sweet as Kane when I’m gonna be *pregante* then I don’t want it.

I could really relate to Mari’s struggles to come to terms with her abandonment issues and the fact that she’s not like her parent who messed up. There was a quote near the end that made me feel things, not exactly happy things but things I can really understand.

"Oh, hon. That's what it's really about, isn't it? Being afraid you're a bother. That we'll only tolerate you if you're easy and no trouble." She purses her lips. "I imagine that's the hardest thing for someone who got left behind. Believing that you're lovable no matter what."

Yeah, this hit me like a brick.

One thing I want to point out is that I think Kane slept with the main character while being in a relationship with someone else, which is a massive red flag for me, so I’m hoping I just read it wrong😅

Anyway, thank you NetGalley and Serena Bell for this incredible arc❤️❤️❤️ And to all readers: you should put this book on your TBR, it’s worth it!!!!
